Harrold’s Grilled Salmon
Just the right amount of sweetness in the marinade and the finishing touch of a honey glaze give this salmon entrée an amazing flavor profile.
¼ cup brown sugar
¼ cup olive oil
¼ cup soy sauce
1 tablespoon honey
1 tablespoon lemon juice
2 teaspoons lemon pepper
1 teaspoon each dried thyme, basil, and parsley
½ teaspoon garlic powder
Four 6-ounce salmon filets
Equipment: Natural gas grill
Mix together all ingredients except the salmon and pour into a large re-sealable plastic bag. If you need more marinade, you can double the recipe. Add the salmon filets and marinate in the refrigerator for at least one hour (longer is better), turning occasionally.
Preheat your natural gas grill for medium heat and lightly oil the grate.
Remove the salmon from the marinate and shake off any excess. Discard the marinade.
Grill the filets until browned and the fish flakes easily with a fork, about 5 minutes on each side. After turning, drizzle additional honey on top while the second side cooks.
